Corie Gordon

Corie Gordon is the lead in our MWF 3s class, and this is her first year at CCP! She had two children attend CCP in the past and loved being a part of our program from a parent’s perspective.

Corie is originally from Greensboro, but after marrying her husband, who was in the Marine Corps, they have lived in Hawaii, California, and now have made a permanent home in Summerfield NC. Corie is a former Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Behavioral Therapist. Three years ago, Corie made a career change and decided to go back to school for teaching! She will graduate in December from Liberty University with a BS in Elementary Special Education and has recently just been accepted into Liberty’s Master of Teaching- Special Education program.

Corie and her Husband have three children, four dogs, and two cats. On top of educational learning, Corie proudly incorporates a lot of social emotional learning as well. Her favorite thing to say is, “Happy children, create a happy classroom, and that’s when the magic happens!”
